As some of you know, I just made it back from New York City yesterday (one reason for not many updates lately). Other than the ~50 hours total bus riding time, it was a good trip. I had heard a ton of stories about how mean people are up there. I know a few NY people from the Xbox-Scene forums who are nice, so I wasn't sure that was completely true. I later found out that most of the people up there are just indifferent to your presence, and there aren't really any more mean people than there are anywhere else (from my experience anyway). Some dirty Frenchman did try to pickpocket me in the line at Starbucks in the Time Square Marriott, but he reached into the wrong pocket so I didn't bother confronting him about it. It's a lot more fast paced up there than AL is, but that's to be expected. I don't know if there was some sortof French meeting thing going on up there or what, but there seemed to be an overflow of Frenchies. As much as they are always griping about the US, half of their country is in NY anyway. While we were eating at Bubba Gump Shrimp we saw a large gang riot going on outside. Being tourists, a friend of mine, my girlfriend and I all stood up and started taking videos/pictures of it (some will be up on my site sooner or later). That was pretty exciting, but other than that there wasn't really all that much going on. The city was a lot dirtier than I expected, and it wasn't near as glamourous as what I had heard, but it was a nice visit overall.

Right now, whilst making this page, I am working on a really stupid homework assignment for my Literature 232 class. I am supposed to read and write about this poem type thing called "An Essay on Man." I don't know if any of you have read this piece of "work" or not, but if you haven't, don't. It doesn't really make any sense, and beyond that, it is just stupid. I really don't care about what this guy thinks about what we humans are. The only thing this guy Pope has going for him is that he didn't write "A Modest Proposal" which is an essay about why humans should eat their own children.

Literature classes shouldn't be required for freaking business majors anyway. Now that I think about it... Literature shouldn't be required for anyone that isn't a Literature/English major. Some things I will never understand. Probably because they don't make any sense. The stuff that they make us read has no application to my major or life in any way. My ability to administer to my network in no way relies on whether or not I have read Tartuffe. It would be much more amusing to take the people that right these kind of things and line them up, then shoot them or blow them up or something that would be entertaining. I mean, after all, isn't entertainment what they are attempting to offer? They could succeed if they allowed us to shoot them or blow them up. Anyway, that's enough of that. Time to write down some more meaningless garbage.
